hi everyone, i'm new to the boards, but i have to say, i'm really enjoying reading all the posts/advice, etc.

we will be taking our 7 yr old on his first cruise, and we are really interested in the waterworks and the 2.0 upgrades. I'm having trouble finding which ships have these. Could anyone help me?

Also, we went to roatan and belize over 10 yrs ago and they were horrible, I'd like some opinions from ppl who have been there recently, thoughts?

Thank you.

Liberty is the first ship to have the 2.0 upgrades. Other ships are due to get them soon.

I've been to Roatan and Belize several times. I love Roatan - it's very easy to do anything on that island - private tour or Carnival tour, or strike out on your own. For Belize, I would book some kind of a tour, and not wander about without a plan.

Roatan is my favorite port, but I find Mahagany Bay over priced and sterile. I loved Roatan how it used to be. I guess it just shows some people dislike what others love. I find it so beautiful.

I agree with Firefly. Roatan is my favorite island. We've been there many times. Loved it before Mahagany Bay. Like Mahagany Bay if we just want to walk to the beach and get in the water for a little while.

Belize is much better than it used to be. I use the tenders as a excursion. We've done the cave tubing. It was great fun.

You'll want to look at the Breeze. The Breeze will have everything. An amazing waterworks, Guy Burger, Blue Iguana, a FULL Red Frog Pub, Cucina del Capitano, skycourse, and more.

Belize and Roatan are more developed. Carnival has it's own pier in Mahogany Bay and they still tender at Belize.

Dream goes to Belize and Roatan. The Magic in Galveston will do a few trips to Roatan and Belize too. The Magic has skycourse, full waterworks, cucina del capitano, and the first Red Frog Pub...oooh and Dream/Magic/Breeze have "seaside grill" at midship Promenade--sliders, tacos, and queasadillas.....
