skyhawk352 Posted October 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2015 Last time I was on the QM2, the Boardwalk Cafe wasn't open due to the chilly weather. I'm sure it'll be open for the Caribbean sailing in November. What should I expect? Just a basic outdoor place to grab a burger? How was their food? Better than the Kings Court? Underwatr Posted October 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 4, 2015 Burgers and hot dogs with various fixings, and dessert items. They'll set up table on the open deck, some with umbrellas for shade. Bottled/canned beer and other drinks are sold at a table on the deck. Probably about the same quality as a burger from the Chef's Galley in King's Court. jimmybean Posted October 4, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2015 (edited) As always, Pepper, just excellent photos! Thank you for sharing! I don't think the Boardwalk Cafe has been open very often (if ever ???) during any of our voyages. Maybe, just as well. That "light lunch" looks like it would have done me in! Underwatr Posted October 4, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 4, 2015 Pepper: I just did a Google image search for 'QM2 Boardwalk Cafe' and the two I linked to were among the first ten images presented. I noticed they were public Flickr pictures but I didn't look at any copyright restrictions. No offense intended!

I was just surprised to see the photo here, and wondered if there was a site you'd found, that I was unaware of, that had more of the pictures. Thank you for explaining. Best wishes to you and many happy sailings :) .

pepperrn Posted October 5, 2015 #10 Share Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) As always, Pepper, just excellent photos! Thank you for sharing! My pleasure jimmybean, thank you :o ... That "light lunch" looks like it would have done me in!Well... of course only the salad was mine, the rest being added to the plate (just for the photo) by a friend I met on board, and with whom I was having lunch. A mean trick to play on me. That's the truth and I'm sticking to it ( ;) ) Edited October 5, 2015 by pepperrn
cruiseluvva Posted October 5, 2015 #11 Share Posted October 5, 2015 We really like the Boardwalk Cafe for lunch, though as a veggie I REALLY do only have salad and perhaps a roll. We used it often when coming back from Singapore - as did the Captain.
Mister T Posted October 5, 2015 #12 Share Posted October 5, 2015 When we were on a Transatlantic in July it was a perfectly sunny day but the Boardwalk Cafe was never open once with a sign saying "Closed due to inclement weather". The Comedian in the Royal Court Theatre even made a joke about it.
