new resort Baha Mar

Im looking for some info on the new resort opening next week, Baha Mar. Wondered if there might be a day pass to use the pool and such.

Only the casino and 1 hotel is opening next week. There is still quite a lot of work to do. I go by nearly every day and it's still a work zone. Only a section of the work fence is down. I doubt there is much of the property open for use at this point.

No word of day passes. My guess is that it will be a while before that happens, since it's usually based on occupancy, and so far, it's high occupancy and most day's sold out.

Would you happen to know if the Baha Mar is near the Melia ,we would like to do the beach next to melia and maybe try the casino at Baha Mar if its doable.We have a very short day from 7AM-1PM

Melia is adjacent to the bahamar property, but noone knows what criteria they will need to access the property from the beach. I doubt the melia guest will have full access to the pools and property at grand opening. So to get to the casino, you may have to go into the main gate and enter thru the primary lobby. This would be quite a hike from the Melia.

Be aware, Bahamar opening has been delayed once again. They are not opening Mar 27 as planned. May 1st is a maybe for the one tower, which will push back the opening of the other sections into the early summer.

So the casino won't be open until May 1st as well? Sorry to hear that. We were hoping to check it out next month.

Sorry, none are available to cruisers. They are all private or in the case of Paradise Island, for guests only. You might call One and only and see if they will let you play. They sometimes let you fill in a time slot if they are not busy.. (for a premium price)
