Light Switches on Star Princess

Don't put so much effort into this -- just fold up one of the many pieces of paper left in your cabin and stick it in the slot.

You are right.....it's not that big a deal.

Take one of the Pursers business cards on display at the PS desk and use it in the slot.

Or any business card for that matter. ;)

If one feels this way, why would they take a cruise vacation?

If you're not part of the solution, you're the precipitate.

We ARE taking less & less cruises as the ships keep getting bigger & pax won't try to help reduce the waste.

We travel a great deal, and run into more and more places using this feature. For those of us charging devices, it's annoying. We don't leave the lights out when we leave, but we would like the power to work.

I was once in a hotel in China that had the need for the room key to be in a slot for the electricity to be on. When the key was removed, all power stopped including that to the in-room refrigerator.

I do not see how that could work.

Since there are sensors that know you're in the room it could very easily be set up to a main switch to keep your lights on only when you're there.

This is assuming both Medallions don't leave the room at the same time with one person.
