New orleans hotel that allows free parking and shuttle to port?

Does anyone know of a hotel in New Orleans that will allow you to leave your car at the hotel (FREE or less fees than the port charges. I want more money for the boat) for the week and shuttle you to the port?

The Maison St. Charles and the Hilton Riverside both have cruise specials. The Maison is listed on their website in the newsletter section. I think its right at 90 a night and 5.00 a day to park. They take you to the port. The Hilton is I think 99 a night and free parking.You have to call the hotel to get that rate. I've read you can walk to the pier from that one. I'm sure there are more but thats the only 2 I know of. We are staying at the Hilton in Sept for our Conquest cruise. Have fun on your cruise.. Linda

If no downtown hotel is available, try the CPP rate at Doubletree Lakeside on Lake Ponchartrain in Metairie. It's a ways from the port, but has a $5 shuttle and/or easy taxi service to port area. Contact [email]tbrown@doubletreelakeside.com[/email].
