Carnival VIP cruise on the Pride in May

Has anyone received their offer yet?....I heard they went out Friday and am hoping to receive mine today....

I was talking to the Casino Host about this last week on the Pride. I asked her to pretty, pretty please make sure that we got an invite. My fingers are crossed.

No invite in today's mail but we seem to get one for every VIP cruise. We're looking for a May cruise so hoping to get one

I haven't received mine yet but they do seem to take a few extra days to reach me here in Canada. May on the Pride would have been a good fit for me but an offer now is just a couple days too late.

Oh well - at least I booked my fall cruise with the players club and surprisingly, the price has already dropped $50 (and I didn't even need to submit an early saver form - they made the adjustment automatically). I'm hoping because I booked through them that I'll get some goodies on that cruise.

Nope, not yet. This last cruise was the first that we got a VIP letter during the cruise, casino cash, gifts, etc. Also, DH had free drinks from day one. We've had a couple of cruises in a row where we have dropped enough in the casino to get noticed, LOL.....well actually DH has, I accumulated 6000 points but only spent $450 during the cruise....I did alot worse the previous cruise. The casino host came over this cruise to chat, and that's when I mentioned that we would love a VIP invite.

Were you playing the table games, or slots? What were the name of the games/slots?

I contacted the Players club through email and said I was thinking about booking another cruise and was wondering if there was anything they could do for me.

I got a response back with a name and contact information for a PVP who is also listed as a "Casino Reservation Specialist". She booked my upcoming cruise at the early saver rate because the casino rate wasn't out yet. She said she'd keep an eye on it to see if a casino rate comes out for that cruise and told me to call her in late January or February to remind her / see if there were any reductions. When I questioned if she could change the early saver rate to a casino rate, she stated, "As a casino representative, I can do just about anything."

I'm hoping that by booking through the casino specialist that I'll also get some extra perks (like strawberries, a drink card and/or cash). I'll call her closer to the cruise to see if I'm eligible for any of that stuff.

I got mine yesterday and we booked the July cruise on the Magic. We were looking at another cruise out of Orleans, but this one was to good to pass up.

Got our invitations on Saturday, two days after I booked a cruise departing in March. Called the casino rep and she got my booking changed to the May 13 cruise (for a $50/pp "administration" fee). This is the first invitation we've gotten for a Player's Club cruise so we're really looking forward to it.

We booked the May 13 Pride cruise. My husband is curious how much casino cash do other people get? Amazingly we each get $550! Any one know what the special tournaments are? slots, blackjack? Also, does anyone know if the pride has a non-smoking section?

It may have changer since my last cruise in August but back then part of the starboard slot area was smoke free. Not sure about the tables.

There are non smoking slots and tables on all Carnival ships (at least all of them that I've been on).

Can someone explain a bit more what these invites/ VIP cruises are about? I happened upon this thread after searching 'pride casino' . Just off the ship yesterday, had a great time in the casino- I am trying to find out the last name of one of the hosts in there, he told me to keep in touch, that he was on facebook, and I was certain his first name ( Miroslav) was so unusual that I could find him easily. Wrong. :( He was so nice.

I never signed up for the players club, my first mistake. However, my hubby won the biggie poker tournament, the main one that awards him a spot in the grand finals, think it's on Magic in Oct. He was so excited- they took his pic and all.

If you play in the casino (especially the slots) and use your sign & sail card in the machine it keeps track of your play. The more points you earn the better your chances of receiving offers from Carnival's player's club. You can also be rated at the tables but we've been told you'd need to be averaging $25 per hand for a minimum of 2 hours a day to be rated.

For instance, we cruise Carnival 4 or 5 times a year and on each cruise I average around 5000 points. We almost always receive the offers.

Thanks, Popsec. We did always have our S+S cards in the slots when playing, but never signed up for a "player's club" . Is that something you have to do during the cruise, or can I register from home? We definitely play enough to qualify for some sort of perks...thanks again!

There's no actual player's club card and I'm sure your play was recorded if your card was in the machine when you played. Did you earn the "drinks on us" card?

My wife and I sailed on the Sensation last year. We played in the casino, a lot. I know my wife used the SnS card in the machine but I never got a Players card, per se. We did receive Chocolate covered strawberries after the first night and the last night a host was looking for my wife...they gave us a Players ckub bag and casino T Shirt. I asked them to open $25 BJ table for me each night and played a lot.

Any idea if I was rated? The shift Supe was very cool...A Czech guy name Roman. He hooked us up with some drinks and just chatted with us each night. We're sailing the Sensation again in May. Does atone know if we were rated, would it carry over? Thanks!

The best thing to do is call the Players Club and tell them you're sailing again and ask them if you're entitled to any comps. This is the number and extension I use 1-800-522-7466 ext. 16034
