Carnival Conquest question

We are staying in a picture window ocean view in November. Can anyone remember in the bathroom, is there a raised area to stop the water from going all over the floor? If not, can someone comment on how wet everything gets, for some reason when my DH takes a shower with the open floor plan it gets soaked! Thank you...

There is a raised lip at the bathroom door to avoid water spilling into room.. The floor edge of the shower has a raised lip as well. As long as you try to make sure shower curtain is inside that shower floor lip you should have no issues. There is also a floor drain just outside the shower in case You "flood" bathroom and they provide a floor mat too that helps with water off your body when you step out and would absorb some spillage if needed.

PS one other trick is to make sure shower head is pointed slightly toward the side wall (when facing the shower) this directs the flow of water away from curtain side with open areas.

We leave bathroom door open too and other than a little water on floor mat when I didn't have shower curtain all inside the floor lip I have never had an issue with a sopping wet floor or room. ;)

You’ll just have to see for yourself. Never understood why they can’t make the shower curtains like a couple inches longer. It never fails that the part by the shower head gets moved just enough to allow water to seep out. Have had water on the floor on all my 19 Carnival cruises with the exception of the last one and that was an accessible bathroom. Didn’t matter that much how the shower head was positioned - unless of course you are purposefully trying to get it outside. A couple times I couldn’t lock it in place, and it would go right back to it’s original spot. But it was less with the door shut.

Won’t hurt to put another towel down if you want to be safe. You can get more.

We bring 2 towel clips and clip one on the bottom of each end of the shower curtain. That seems to hold the curtain inside the lip better and we don't get as much water outside the shower. We still use the 'bath mat' and have an extra towel handy if needed. :D

Good idea. I may have to try that next time. If they would make the shower curtains 2 inches longer it wouldn’t even be an issue. Why so skimpy on the material?

Mrs Bob,

I agree, what is the point of putting that length curtain. It makes no sense.

You can get 3M command clips (sold as Spring clips), temporarily stick them to the lip, and clip the curtain in place. I use the waterproof command strips (Bath refill strips), don't know for a fact the regular ones won't work, but there are ones made for inside a shower.

Glad I’m not the only one that feels this way! I’ve gotten some good tips and will have to try them. Thanks!
