Default Honolulu/Oahu Hotels with Parking?

Pre-cruise we are staying in a hotel in Waikiki and not renting a car. Post cruise we would like to rent a car to travel the island.

Advice on mid-level (3 star or above) for hotels with affordable or included parking would be appreciated. Hotel does not have to be in Waikiki.

Thanks in advance!
Kev

From what I've read here, on the boards, most, if not all, hotels around the Honolulu/Waikiki area, charge for overnight parking. Fees range from around $30.00 to $50.00 a night. For example, the Waikiki Marriott Resort and Spa charges $35.00 per night for parking.

If you want a better idea of the cost of hotels and whether or not they charge their guests for overnight parking, check out the Trip Advisor website. You'll find a treasure trove of information.

Aloha

All hotels in Waikiki would charge for parking, from $18/d and up. Most are in the $20-30/d range. For some smaller hotels, they need to be booked ahead, as they have only a few spots.

Sheraton does not charge for parking, but they charge a resort fee of $19/d which includes parking.

We stayed at the Park Shore hotel ($109/n great oceanview and view of Diamond Head), at the east end of Waikiki. On the days we rented a car, we parked (free) on Monserat, Kapionali Park, right by the hotel (1 block).

The resort fee at the Sheraton Waikiki includes parking in their attached garage. It was very convenient and I loved the infinity pool. Have a great time, Cherie

That Park Shore hotel sounds like a good option and will check it out.

Even suggestions outside of Honolulu/Waikiki would be appreciated. The last part of our trip will be going to the Poly Cultural Center for a day, Dole and the North Shore. Thanks again.

If going to the PCC, need to stay to watch the night show "Ha, Breath of Life". After that it's 1 hr drive back to Waikiki. So could do the trip with morning to Dole, Haleiwa/northshore, then PCC from noon.

Having been to Dole, the only thing interesting is to see and learn about different kinds of pineapples. Do NOT get the drink of pineapple juice. When I ordered, they took out a can to open it, fill the cup with ice, then pour the canned juice into the cup. We could've buy a can from supermarket ourselves for much cheaper.

The Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore is fantastic. No charge for parking and the facilities are wonderful. Also easy to get lunch or dinner from the shrimp trucks and go to a beach or back to the hotel to enjoy a great meal with fabulous views. Cherie
