Which ships have not had the 2.0 upgrade done yet?

The reason I ask which ships haven't had the 2.0 upgrade done yet (out of Miami or Fort Lauderdale only) is because I'm a smoker and all persons I travel with also smoke... since you can't smoke on the Lido Deck if the ship has had the 2.0 upgrade, I would not like to travel on one... we spend about 80% of our time at the Lido Deck Bar drinking and smoking... I know the Liberty has made the switch and I read somewhere that the Glory will make the switch in Sept 2012... has the Valor been updated yet or is it expecting to go in for upgrades before Feb 2013 if hasn't done so? Is there another choice other then the Valor? Thanks for the help in advance :-)

I think you should check this link out

2011 is when smoking changed...sign of change in society... sorry... 2.0 isn't a smoking change.

Yes it is a smoking change cause the Liberty lido is NON smoking due to the new 2.0 eating areas

(let's see how many other answers come on here LOL, the upgrade schedule has been posted) :p

We were on the Freedom in November 2011. (2.0 upgrades scheduled for 2014) We had one smoker in our group. The Lido deck was non-smoking on the Freedom. The open deck smoking area was aft port side on deck 10. The only complaint my friend had was that there weren't any chairs in the smoking area.

Just our observation.

Since you were on a ship that had a 2.0 upgrade did you happen to notice was there a duo calyspo band on the lido deck?. I got it from a very good source that when a CCL goes to the 2.0 upgrade the duo calyspo bands will be replaced with DJs did you notice this?

The Freedom (Nov 2011 cruise) does not have its upgrades yet. It is due for them in 2014. I will be on the Liberty in June 2012 and will gladly report back.

I was on the Liberty a few weeks ago. I didn't notice any calyspo bands, but there were two DJ's on board. There may have been a calyspo band and I just missed it.

Thanks for the info but did you also notice the lack of live bans through out the ship I was told they are being replaced with DJ's also

I noticed there was a live band on the Promenade by the casino at night. I think it was 3-4 people.

There was also sometimes a singer in the Atrium and I think there may have been a guy playing the guitar some nights too.

Sorry I couldn't help you out more. I really was't paying attention to the bands or singers.

From January on the Liberty 2.0:

I don't know about the lido - I try to avoid the noise. The atrium had a duo - the singer really sucked. The promenade by the casino had a trio - good!! rock/southern rock. There was another band in the big club down one deck. The only dj I remember is the one in the disco - where there has always been a dj, as far as I know. Not sure who gave you your information - but they were incorrect. Carnival may be reducing the size of the music groups (ie a duo instead of a trio), but it's still live music.
