Baltimore Port Hotel suggestions

Looking for suggestions for Hotels for a cruise out of Baltimore. Will be flying in the day before and staying two days after cruise. I don't know if we should stay near the airport pre cruise and inner harbor post cruise or the same place both stays.

Are shuttles available? If not is there a shuttle service available?

Is the Inner Harbor a safe place for seniors to walk around?? We are interested in the Train and Boat museums. Any input would be appreciated.

There are many hotels around the inner harbor. We always fly at least one day early to a cruise port. In Baltimore, we stay at Spring Hill Suites. I have always found Inner Harbor to be safe area, as it is generally filled with people. It is also a close walk to many restaurants and the ball park. We take a taxi from the airport (maybe $35-?). Taxi from hotel to ship is maybe $20.

We like the Sleep Inn & Suites Downtown Inner Harbor,

301 Fallsway , Baltimore, MD, US, 21202

  • Phone: (410) 779-6166

They have transportation to and from the cruise port and a Park & Cruise package for those who are driving to Baltimore.

It is an easy walk from the hotel to the Inner Harbor.

I keep getting a message when I try to book Sleep Inn for one night that the minimum number of nights hasn't been met. Has anyone else experienced this?

Nope, I just ran a test booking for tonight, and it was OK. What date are you trying to book? Maybe there is some big event in Baltimore (May 16, Preakness weekend?) around then and the hotel has a 2-night minimum during that time. I see this around Saratoga all the time.

I'm trying for the end of August - Aug 29-30.
