I am looking forward to your review. I have an odd question if you could be so bold to ask for me. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary on Freedom in February. Would they have any wine or spirits from 1997?

I looked through wine lists in Vintages and didn't see anything.

Maybe you can email F&B manager ahead of time to see if they can get something for you??

Slow roasted beef striploin. DH was confused with the description on the menu. Our neighbor was having what looked more like prime rib so DH ordered it.

I ordered the Mojo-Marinated pork chop.

So far so good on the Mojo menu.

Will be doing the same B2B in January. When last on the Freedom many moons ago there was a sign at Chops that Diamond (or maybe D+) and higher could use the seating in Chops at breakfast & lunch with your Windjammer food. Still there?

Sure made it easier to find a seat.

Can't wait to hear about the six day leg. Going on that itinerary in Jan and looking forward to info!

We did the 6 day itinerary over this past Thanksgiving....and it was very nice. We did an excursion in Grand Caymen and in Costa Maya spend a few hours at the public pool area in the immediate area where the ship docked (fabulous relaxing - but we were the only ship in port at the time). Friends when on a water/ziplining excursion, just a short ride away and said it was fabulous -- we will probably do that the next time in Costa Maya.

We had good food and enjoyed the entertainment and activities. My personal disappointment was no paella on embarkation day in WJ for lunch and no cheesecake lollipops in Cafe Promenade for snacks.

We did not do lunch in MDR at all, not our thing. Did breakfast in MDR one day -- it was nice.

Yes Diamonds and above were allowed to use Giovanni's for seating during most breakfast and lunch. Only problem was that the few times we went there busing the tables seemed to be an issue so the ran out of clean seats.

They had the paella on the second day in the Windjammer but by the time I got to it, it had been pretty much picked clean. Haha!!

We did MDR for lunch twice. Little disappointed that they cheapened up the "Tutti Salad" bar. No mozzarella bocochini. No shrimp. No prosciutto. Still was a decent salad.

Did breakfast twice in the MDR. First day Eggs Benedict ritual. And I like their French toast.

Thanks, that was always a nice touch on that ship. Nowadays I just go get someone and ask them to bus the table or I clatter dishes around as I clear it myself onto another empty table. Seems to get the point across .

Our last B2B in FLL in March was a mess on turn around day. Met at 9:30, off the ship at 9:45, sat in the terminal until 11:00. Actually didn't get back on until after general boarding had started????

What was your experience and have heard they have started to keep your card from cruise #1?

Our experience was smooth all the way. We met in the Star Lounge and the Diamond LA ran the show. We were escorted down t about 10AM, sat for ten minutes and got back on the ship by 10:15. Really easy.

BTW - they would have to pry my previous cruise card from my cold dead hand.

No - they did not take the card.
