Rhapsody of the Seas - refurbished

My husband and I are sailing on the Rhapsody of the Seas on May 24,2013. I was wondering if anyone had been on lately so they could comment on the refurbishment. We have reserved an Owners Suite for our 20th Anniversary.

We sailed on Rhapsody last year (Alaska) just after the refurbishment.

I don't know what it was like before the refurbishment we but we enjoyed the ship. It isn't as grand as the newer bigger ships but it had everything we wanted and needed for this particular cruise.

The crew was wonderful (not been on a RCCL ship that hasn't had a great crew so far). The captain (Rob Hempstead) was the best we have sailed with, funny, down to earth, nice guy.

I can't think of any reason why you won't enjoy this ship.

I was on the Rhapsody twice last year after refurb.

Some of the changes were nice. We all LOVED the new Park Cafe in the Solarium. They have some light breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches and late night snacks.

They added Giovonnis Table, Chops, and Ixumi as well.

They did put the moive screen on deck but for Alaska they really didn't have a use for it.

For the diamond and above C & A members they did add a concierge and diamond lounge.

I really did enjoy the changes to the ship.

The link to the review posted here is mine, in one of the posts there is a further link to my photos on photobucket and in there you will find pictures of a refurbished owners suite which mu MIL cruised in. You will love it, rhapsody is an awesome ship and the refurb makes it even better.
