Default Portland Maine

I would like to hear from people who have had Portland Maine as one of their ports of call. This will be our first time there. Happy Sailing, Joy

Not as a port, but we only live two hours away. There is a trolley tour at the pier but a ship's tour may be the best to see other areas. Of course, renting a car is a good idea too. You are only a few minutes from Interstate 95 which would get you quickly to Booth Bay Harbor, Darmiscotta, Freeport or Southern beach towns like Old Orchard, Ogunquit or Kennebunkport. My favorite would be a drive north to Booth Bay and the lighthouse at Darmiscotta. Stay off the Rocks! I have seen many people loose their cameras and almost get drowned!
Dress in layers, as the seacoast can get chilly in Fall.
