balcony guarantee question

if you book a balcony guarantee 11 days before sailing, when do you know your cabin assignment?

so when you do your online check in and print luggage tags, what does your boarding pass say?

I would wait until the very last minute and if if still says guarantee then you have to go with that. when you get to the ship, I believe you can get proper luggage tags with the room number and you can switch them.

I believe this is what I read on this site so I hope someone can confirm this

I just read a post from a cruiser who is sailing this Monday, that's 4 days from now and her pass and tags say TBA.

yup. and people have had tba all the way to the dock (kinda unusual but not impossible)

But don't worry if you have to leave home without a room number -- the dockside porter has a list or a computer terminal (?) to look it up. Somehow they always have you assigned!

We had an Oceanview guarantee once. We found out when we dropped off our luggage. The porters had a list. It was a nice location.

Just make sure you find out at the pier so you can put cabin number on your luggage
