classic rock. no choice for that on your poll.

It's called cover bands:p Lots of cover bands still around on ships. Some cruisers ideas of "classic rock" are rehashed Top 40 from the 80s or 90s, others think it's only old Def Leopard.:D

I voted for more live Caribbean music for Caribbean cruises. Most cruisers identify that with the steel drum/pan sounds and calypso. A little more salsa, meringue, danza or even ska or soca would be good.

Which would you most like to see?

John Heald has been asking some important questions on his social media page and I'm really curious what most guests think since I can't see the results he got.

He should add STEEL DRUMS to the mix so he sees what the customer REALLY wants to see.

I know what they are called just stating it wasnt one of the options.

Cover bands are not on all ships now and last few we have seen they stick them on promenade accross from the casino. Worst possible place to put them.

I find it hard to pick just one. I would like them to have more of all except country/western(not my thing). Jazz is good, but has to be in right environment, would be nice if they had a lounge for that. Caribbean music is nice, but the third option is good too.

That is a GREAT idea! Having a jazz lounge would be nice.

More live band with variety. Get some good bands that can play a variety of music and that can help expand the on-deck entertainment options for Carnival. You can have 80's/90's nights, all-white parties (clothing, not people), etc.

Caribbean music is nice, but I can only take so much steel drum banging and maraca shaking before I want to jump off the side of the boat.

I agree. On Liberty last Sept. We had Music Power outside casino and loved them. This past time it was Music Boardwalk. Not a bad band, but the music was more from the era before Rock. Although lots of people seemed to be enjoying it. It's just there was no classic rock on the ship, I searched out all the venues.

Good, danceable bands....R&B, a bit of rock (not "heavy metal), some Motown....just good dance music...upbeat and fun!

I HATE Jazz, especially the "new" stuff that you can't tap your toes to, or sing along with....it's excrutiating!

Carnival has some "charter" cruises featuring "beach music" bands (you have to book thru a specific travel agent to gain access)...where the best bands from N. Myrtle Beach/North Carolina play on the ship. These guys are NOT "garage" bands...these guys ROCK!

If they weren't in Jan. and Feb, I'd totally book one of these cruises! Check out these bands online....Band of Oz, Fantastic Shakers, The Embers (featuring Craig Woolard), Smokin' Hot, Tim Clark Band, Mark Roberts Band.....this is the sort of music I'm talking about!

I agree with you there. I just was on the Liberty in May and Music Boardwalk was there and where they put these groups is awful They should all be in a lounge like they use to be. It's just too noisy.
