auckland bus

just wanted to know if there is a bus (topless type ) hop on hop off anywhere near the wharf in Auckland.we will be there in early april ,and just want to do a local touristy type thing on a bus,any suggections will be helpful,

Yes, there is a stop for the Hop On/Hop Off bus just past the ferry building which is very close to the pier where the ship will dock. I do not recall seeing any with an open top though there are some double decker ones.

Auckland is a beautiful city. If you have time take the ferry to Devonport, walk around the town and grab some fish & chips.

If you take the ferry over to Devonport, (about 12 minutes) you will also find a local bus/van that will shuttle you up to the top of Mt Victoria for the best views in Auckland.

Auckland is a city where there is a pretty good chance of rain every single day; in summer perhaps only for 2 minutes before returning to glorious blue skies but expecting rain is the safe bet.

An open top bus probably isn't very viable for that reason and surely wouldn't be in other than in summer.
