Dinner Perks received for Breakaway

We received dinner at a specialty restaurant as a perk when we booked our cruise. How does that work? Do you sign for the dinner and after it posts to your account they credit the perk?

It can be either of. There are vounchers that might be delivered to your cabin and handed over when you arrive to the restaurant (higher Latitudes levels get free dinners like this) but also it can become as simple OBC, we had free dinner in Italian restaurant as a perk from our TA and in reality it was only the same amount of OBC appearing to our account before we even went to said dinner.
