Carnival shuttle from Ft Laud airport to Miami dock

Recommended Posts

I could be wrong but I believe that you need to contact your TA or Carnival ahead of time and tell them you would like to purchase the transfer and then the transfer tickets will come with your documents. At least, the last time we purchased them we did it ahead of time. You might be able to purchase at the airport but I'm just not sure.

You will have no problem finding a shuttle at the FLL airport to get you to the Miami port. There is a service called Super Shuttle - they have bright blue vans and will take you to the Miami port for about $25. They are also available at the pier to return you to the FLL airport. You can purchase a round-trip ticket and let them know when you need to be picked up at the pier on your return.

In addition to super shuttle you can also do a "shared cab" ride for about $16 pp. You simply walk up to the desk on the curb and tell them where you want to go. They give you a slip, the wait is guaranteed to be less than 1/2 hour. This can turn into a milk-run, picking up and dropping off people along the way, but often you get combined with a bunch of other people heading to the port as well. Do this only if you're not in a rush to get to the port.

This is really the best option for single travellers, but if there's a group of you price out getting your own cab to the port, generally if there's more than 3 of you, grab your own cab (also, talk to the people around you at baggage claim, you might be able to split a cab and make new friends before you're even on the ship)

If you are flying in the same day as the cruise I would think the carnival shuttle is your best bet. Ask your travel agent to make those arrangements for you.
