Coopers Island VS Tobacco Bay?

Hello,

I've always gone to Tobacco Bay for snorkeling, but I'm wondering what it's like at Cooper's Island. I know Coopers is not as easy to get to, but it is worth the effort? We have a group with a variety of ages (13 - 45) and snorkeling experience, so I want a mild beach like Tobacco Bay. Coopers has the added attraction of being a nature preserve, which greatly interests me.

Has anyone been to Coopers Island recently? Does it compare to TB? Is it closer to the shipyard than TB?

Thanks!

Kelly
