They're baaaaack. NKOTB (or New Kids on the Block, for those of you familiar with Hangin' Tough and Step By Step) is hosting and performing on a cruise from May 15-18. Although the band's official site doesn’t seem to list a ship name, we have determined that the Miami-to-Nassau sailing will take place aboard Carnival Imagination.

Since tickets went on sale this afternoon, we felt that an equally kitschy poll would be appropriate. So, resist the urge to scream like a giddy teenage girl (or to dig out the posters, lunch boxes and action figures -- c'mon, we know you collected all five), and tell us what you think... (Choose all that apply.)

Tell you what ... if they could find a way to book the Beatles onboard a cruise ship, I'd pay a million dollars. (:D I know that can't happen so no worries about paying that fare!)

Honestly, I've seen all of my former teen idols on VH1 and Celebrity Rehab enough that they have lost their luster.

Speaking of the Beatles...Has anyone seen "RAIN" before?

They were on our Voyager of the Seas cruise and they LOOK like the Beatles, SOUND like them and are AWESOME!

They are coming to our hometown on January 24th and we got meet/greet with them. They are the BOMB if you like the Beatles.

Honestly, I can't think of anyone I'd pay a premium to cruise with. But I bet Dr. Suess would've been a hoot!

Yeah, I liked his books as a kid, as a teen, and now that my kids are grown I'm looking forward to reading them to future grandkids. :)

Davy Jones (Monkees) was MY teen idol, but I do get to see him every spring at Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival. My personal favorites are groups like the Temptations, Coasters, Drifters, Platters, etc. But I have had the pleasure of seeing them (remaining members and newer folks keeping that wonderful music alive) in Las Vegas, on a couple cruises and various fairs. Choosing from the options listed was a tough call between Elvis & The Jackson 5, but selected the latter because of their dancing (and it would be so nice to see a healthy Michael again).

My daughter would love to sail with NKOTB, but prices start at $1200pp which is a bit steep for a 3-night cruise...

Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. Honestly, to this day whenever I hear "Young Girl" it makes me weak in the knees! Same goes for "Cara Mia" by Jay and the Americans.

GottaluvCruising: I was a member of the official Monkees Fan Club - we had the book covers, big buttons, pens, etc. There were only 4 of us in the little town I was from, but we were all members of their fan club based somewhere in the US.

Smooth Sailing! :):):)

We saw RAIN a couple of years ago on Navigator and I agree completely. They were fantastic!

I'd like to cruise with Elvis but I heard he wasn't doing the cruise ships right now.............

While the Beatles had me rocking, I really wanted to be a beach boy and move to SoCal. The Beach Boys were simply awesome. The local midwest farmers daughters really make you feel alright but the California girls are so tan in their bikinis.

I still remember watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. I saw the Beatles cover band on the AOS in September and they were good. I later saw them in the Schooner bar socializing.

Now that would be a rockin cruise. I was absolutely crazy about him as a young teen...thought he was so dreamy. Saw him in Portland Oregon in March doing his radio show at his "Rock & Roll Cafe" (that unfotunately closed too soon because of the weak economy) before heading off to see Bruce Springsteen. Was a great evening out with the girls! He's still got it!

I think the news about NKOTB taking to the sea is great!

I would love to get my younger brother onboard -- I have memories of him dancing in front of the television to their videos when he was about one or two.

He is now 20, so I am sure he wouldn't be as eager to get up on the dancefloor! :)

Otherwise Take That would be my pick, but they have already made their come back so not sure they count!

Does anyone remember Kirk Cameron from the show "Growing Pains?" I had the hugest crush on him. And as far as NKOTB go, I was absolutely, positively, silly, drunk in love with Donnie. Ahhhh, those were the days! :D

The New Kids on the Block thing happened a while after I was a teenager so I was never really into them. I did see Donnie at a Red Sox game once - actually I heard the screams of thousands of teenage girls chasing after someone and turned around to see him getting escorted somewhere. The young girl sitting behind us was hyperventilating at the sight of him.

My teen idols would be any of the members of Duran Duran...Simon Le Bon in particular. The Police would run a close second...

I voted Elvis, but the Beatles would have been a good choice for me also. However, since Elvis and two of the Beatles are dead, I guess it will never happen.

My daughter would pick the Backstreet boys and I guess most would know she is in her mid twenties by that choice.

I would love to see the Monkees - have seen Davy Jones at Epcot but not the others. Once of my friends was on a cruise a few years ago that had John Davidson as a guest entertainer. She said he was very nice and one day she ended up seated with him at breakfast. Her twelve year old son (who had no idea who John Davidson was) challenged him to a game of ping pong and he went along with it. She was more thrilled than her son!
