Sandi I'm pretty good at packing for others, just not myself , so if there's room for both Pam & me I'll head your direction.

Speaking of packing, I've got to get packed tomorrow for the NYC trip. Cloths aren't the real problem it's trying to figure out what to take to keep 3 kids fed and entertained on the 10 hour train ride. Can't say I'm looking forward to that part of the trip. Although they've never taken a "real" train ride I'm afraid it's going to loose all it's glamour after about the first 45 minutes.

Greg is probably worried that it is heart related. Swollen ankles and red rash ankles can be a sign. Aussies call the rash "golfer's ankles". Google it, Pam. My friend and I entertained our doctor table mates with our red rash ankles on a cruise once. We walked a kilometer each day in the heat to earn points towards gifts!

When and where does your Crown Princess cruise depart from?

Marion, we will arrive in London June 24 and head to Southampton on June 29 for our Crown departure that day. The Norwegian Fjords cruise includes Spitsbergen and is 14 days in length. I'm packing the Cuddleduds ("long johns"), down coat and plenty of gloves, scarves, ear warmers, etc.

I have returned from Alaska on the Grand Princess. I have had better cruises. It was windy and overcast for 9 days! I didn't get much use our of my balcony.
Next cruise is in Sept. - SF rt to the Sea of Cortez.

The VA called tonight. Greg's appt is on Weds... finally. I will be in Louisiana, but thats ok. I am going to assume that since this is his first visit, they will do a full physical. Lets hope!!

Sorry you had bad weather for your Alaskan cruise, Sally. The weather really does make a difference, especially somewhere like Alaska.

By the way, my SIL and her husband are on a cruisetour in Alaska this week. Since they arrived last Friday night, the temps in Fairbanks were in the 80s. Near record temps. She said they didn't bring shorts but had plenty of coats, gloves, etc. so I hope they need them somewhere, like at the glaciers. They are also staying at Denali and McKinley before getting on the Sapphire this Saturday in Whittier.

So that means I'd better be prepared in case there's a heat wave in London or Norway!
