Question about Johnny Rockets on Allure

Recommended Posts

Hi, everyone!

I had a question for anyone who has sailed on Allure recently. Does Johnny Rockets serve breakfast, and if so, is it complementary? Hubby and I sailed on Oasis in 2013 and breakfast at Johnny Rockets was free. Just wondering if the same is true on Allure. Thanks.

Yes, it will be the same as your experience on Oasis. It is complimentary.

Yes...and pretty good ... Diner style breakfast.

Yes it's free and good.

You could order everything on the menus but one serving is enough for me. Their potatoes with cheese and green peppers is the best[emoji76][emoji76][emoji76]

We are Celebrity cruises and have two RCCL cruises booked for the future. I was surprised to see that JR was not complementary (I guess, except for breakfast). JR is good, but why pay for fast food when there is good complementary food available?

JR was complimentary when the concept first began. Unfortunately teens [and others] would "hangout" in the restaurant. So, RCL began a small cover charge that has gotten a dollar or so more expensive each year. The last I heard it was ~$8 pp.

Is this all you can eat style?

I've never seen them limit what you could order. The food is made to order, so if you decided to have another selection, it would take some time to prepare. Better to order all up front.

DH asked for a double order of bacon for breakfast at JR on Allure and they refused saying only one was allowed. :( We were shocked. I ordered bacon and gave him mine.

Never heard that before[emoji12][emoji12]

Of all the options for breakfast, JR entices me the least, yet I love going there for lunch on a sea day. I guess it's typical that the breakfast is free and the lunch isn't [emoji85]

That's actually kind of shocking. Sometimes it's the little "misses" that you remember the most. My father in law ordered so much food at Johnny Rockets for breakfast, it was kind of funny. He didn't realize the portion sizes or how it came out, and ended up with about 4 breakfasts.... The staff certainly didn't mind one bit.

As for me, I like Johnny Rockets for breakfast simply because of the atmosphere. It's just calming and nice on the boardwalk in the morning and not as hot as you would think sitting outside. The food is totally "meh", though.
