Dining time wait list

My husband and I booked our cruise late. The only dining time available was the 8:15pm. We generally eat between 5pm and 6pm. We chose to be put on the waitlist for the 6:15 and the my time dining options. Does anyone know when we will find out if we got the other dining options? If we do not get one of the other diining options will we not be allowed to eat in the dining rooms until 8:15? I cannot imagine eating dinner that late. Thanks, Alice

I don't recall the exact time frame but when we were wait listed this past October we received notification switching us to early seating about 2 to 3 weeks before our sail date.

When we have been wait-listed for early dining, we have always gotten it.

Keep checking online.

If your card says 8:15 then go to the Maitre 'D around 1pm on embarkation day for changes.

Many times they cannot change you until the second night. For the first night you can eat in a speciality restaurant or buffet.

What ship are you on? Not all have speciality restaurants.

You will probably not know until you get your sign and sail cards on the ship.

This is what happened to us. Didn't change till the next day, so I acted like a child and didn't eat anything in the mdr the first night. Only went cause DH wanted to, and he didn't want to eat alone.
