Day Room

Does anyone have suggestions on hotels near Port Everglades that offer a day room rate or how to search for one? Our flight doesn't depart until almost 7 pm and we just want to spend a relaxing day before heading home.

I've had some success with http://www.between9and5.com in other cities

Roadway Inn is a budget place near FLL often suggested on this board.

I would also search http://www.sunny.org and maybe call some of the larger, resort properties - if they have room they will be happy to take your money.

As I have said many times here...A "Day Room" is really a misnomer. All it is, is a room you aren't going to spend the night in. Any hotel will check you in early as long as they have clean room available early. That is usually because the room sat empty the night before or they had an early check out and Housekeeping got it cleaned. So check in and leave whenever you want.

Now...Roadway Inn always seems to have rooms available and there are reasons why. They will actually call them "Day Rooms" because they never fill them at night. The Roadway Inn is a debatable 2 Star rated hotel that is in the middle of nowhere so you pays your money and you take your chances. It's safe, it's old, it's near nothing and it is reportedly relatively clean and they have an airport shuttle.

Maybe they are a well operated Hotel and have extra staff to clean room early and late.

i saw on the Port everglades web site they were the #1 cruise port hotel in a report they did.
