Harmony Solo ocean view

I cruised on Harmony with a group of friends, but I had my own cabin, and so did the other single woman in our group. She had an oceanview studio so I came by one day to check it out. The window is huge!! It was described as a "porthole," but was actually a huge circular window. While the cabin was definitely small, the bathroom was about the same size as in a standard cabin.

Thank you Rambling Ma'am. I booked this cabin on the Symphony for a TA. Was a little nervous. It will do nicely. & the price was great. :)

I did the Harmony Transatlantic in a solo oceanview and found it perfectly acceptable, and I'm a person who tries to get a balcony whenever the budget allows for it!

The window is very large, say stretch your arms out as far as you can and it would be from fingertip to fingertip or a bit wider. The ledge around it can be used for a bit of extra storage space as well. There is plenty of cupboard space in the room, but found desktop space to be a little bit lacking - so you have to put stuff away rather than leave it to hand. There is minimum standing space around the bed, so the room is not really made for entertaining! Bathroom was normal cruise ship size - in fact I found the sink to be a little larger than those in the regular balcony rooms, as they have a different layout, and actually managed to rinse out some clothes in it. Location was pretty good too - it's close to the dining rooms and elevators up to the buffet. I was initially worried that smoke from the casino might be an issue but this was unfounded, as any smoke smell didn't travel past the elevator lobby area.

If I remember correctly there are a couple of steps in the corridor that houses the row of solo cabins, so if that was an issue someone might need to ensure that they are in the cabins that are before the steps rather than after.

My only complaint was that there are so few of solo cabins on the ship (14?) on a ship that holds 5,000+ passengers!
