Hi,

We are cruising with Crytal middle of July this year (20-29), from Vancouver up to Skagway and back. Our first time in the area.

We are wondring what to pack.....summer (tee's and shorts) or cold and rainy.....or pack everything?

Prior to the cruise we stay 5 days in Tofino, any advise there?

All other tips, things to certainly not miss are also welcome...

Thanks

John

^Agree. You'll need both hot and cold weather clothing, so layering is an absolute necessity for efficient packing.

In Tofino, do not miss Wolf in the Fog - one of the best restos in the country in recent years.

But watch out for wolf packs around the beaches. They're no longer scared of humans and can be aggressive, especially to folks with dogs (at least one dog killed), to the extent there's been a ban on beach dog walking in some parts. If you see any, official advice is to shout, throw stuff, bang items together to make noise rather than trying to get some good photos or trying to feed or pet them - walk in groups and keep kids close at hand at all times. Nobody's expecting attacks on humans, but sensible precautions are warranted.
