Hey Copper, Captain Halle Thon GundersEn spells him last name with an E. I'm not being picky, but since my last name of Andersen is also spelled with an E, I am pretty particular:D

Shame on me! 1000 apologies to you and all the other Norwegians!

So Lena was competing in the Sons of Norway Swim Meet and she came in last place in the hundred-yard breast stroke and she said to the judges, "Oh say, I don't vant to complain, but I tink those other two girls were using der arms"!

So Ole got a car phone and on his way home on the freeway, he calls up Lena and he says, "Oh, Lena, I'm calling you from the freeway on my new car phone."

And Lena says, "Be careful because on the radio they say that some nut is driving the wrong way on the freeway." And Ole says, "One nut ---- heck, there are hundreds of them!"

Hi Copper,

I can't find captain P.J. van Maurik on this list. Does he still work for HAL ?

Thank you,

BB

Er word beweerd dat hij tijdelijk achter een bureau in Seattle zit i.p.v. achter her roer van een cruise schip/Word has it, he's temporarily driving a desk instead of a cruise ship, in Seattle

No apology needed, John. By the way AndersEn, at least in my case, is Danish. But you can call me anything, as long as you don't call me late for dinner. OH.....that's so bad!

A Danish airliner was getting ready to land at Stockholm's airport. The control tower contacted the pilot and asked for his position. This surprised the Danish pilot so he didn't say anything. So the air traffic controller in the tower contacted the Danish pilot again. "Please tell us your position." The Danish captain finally understood and replied: "I'm in the front seat on the left hand side, as always..."

Thank you bery much for the information john. Captain van Maurik was on the ryndam in 2006 and his voice from the bridge talks where almost as good as Peter Bos or Frans Consen. Captain Frans Consen is starring in a short film on youtube as well. The link is below.

That's because this thread is from Sep 2008. Zuiderdam's captain last month was Michiel Willems

It took me almost the whole thread to figure out this one had been resurrected. Still laughed at the Danish pilot.

does anyone have an updated version ??????

We no longer post full lists such as that anymore.

Some objected to violation of privacy.

An individual Captain, Hotel Manager for a particular ship on a particular date might be posted but not a complete crew list for all ships.

You sure did get some of us confused with this 'resurrection'. :D

You had me scratching my head as some of these Officers are long gone from the company and many others are no longer on the ships mentioned. :)
