7500 poits is 50 $ 12,500 is 100 dollars, 20000 points is 200dollars. You can find out how much your oints will get by going to rewards section of credit card.

Attached is screen print from the credit card redemption page and a spreadsheet showing point conversions as of last time I checked (about 6 months ago). If I remember correctly, it was best to charge ship purchases to the card and then redeem for statement credit so you receive double points for those charges. If you redeem points before hand, you miss out on the double points.

Yes, this is the way to do it.

My 50,000 points are worth $500 if I apply them to deposit or other pre-cruise payments.

So, if I booked 3 cabins and was charged for deposits I want to try to get my charges to $1500. I assume I should then charge toward the balance so I arrive at the $1500? Can I do this online or do I need to call Carnival? Thanks so much for this information. I never knew that you got the most for your rewards with t$1500.

If you save them to apply to your final payment (assuming your final payment is at least $1500), they'll be worth $750.

Only if the $1500 is all in one transaction. If it's three separate bookings, don't they usually charge the deposits separately? You need to find a way to get them all in one transaction, and I'm not sure that's possible on three separate bookings.

We do as others have said, charge everything including insurance, cells, elect, etc & pay it off every month. After 21 months, I just applied 100,000 points for $1500 credit towards our most recent cruise.

I use my Carnival MC for booking & paying for my cruises, & then for my S&S account while onboard. And I always redeem my points for OBC on the upcoming cruise. It's like a revolving door for me lol.
