Vung Tau - HCMC

Has anyone done the Hydrofoil transfer from Vung Tau to HCMC? If so, how was it?

I did not take the ship transfer, but I did take the hydrofoil from VT to Saigon three weeks ago. The ride was fine.

I would definitely stick with the ship excursion. The traffic was horrendous getting into Saigon, loading at the dock was a zoo. If you are late back to the ship, on your own excursion, you will have to find your own transport.

Vietnam, with the traffic as it is, is one place I would NOT chance doing my own thing. Too much chance of getting into a bind.
