Elia Beach on Mykanos?

Has anyone managed to go to Elia Beach from the port?

If so, how did you get there, and more important, how did you get back!?

Could you pick up a taxi from the beach back to the ship?

It looks like a lovely beach, although I do see that it is a nudist and gay beach at one end.

Anyone's comments and experiences would be helpful :)

We rented ATV's just up the street from where the ship let us off. We rode all the way to Elia Beach. It was great! So Beautiful... we stayed for a bit, and then started back towards Mykonos Town, stopping at Paradise and Super Paradise on the way. When we got back to Mykonos Town, we had lunch and did some shopping, then returned the ATVs and made our way back to the ship. Keep in mind we didnt spend HOURS at the beaches, but enough to get a feel for each one.

We were there. Any of the beaches on that side if the island are nice. They are a wee bit remote. I would say it is a good Twenty to thirty minute drive bit could be done faster depending upon the speed of your driver. Why don't you ask your driver to come get you at a certain time and arrange to meet at the drop off point.

We stayed at the Royal Myconian Resort just up the hill from Elia Beach for 10 days in June. It is a beautiful beach. You can catch a taxi if you are lucky. There are two taxi stands in the town area. One is at the port, the other is about a 20 minute walk through Mykonos town to the top of the hill. You are much more likely to get a taxi at the second one. It is about a 20 minute ride to the beach and costs 20 euro. You can probably walk up the hill to the Royal or Imperial Myconian and have them call you a taxi, but allow at least an hour from leaving the beach to getting in the taxi.
