My son is 11 and has been able to check himself out of the kids club on Carnival. I was wunderkind if it will be the same on Royal. Does anyone know?

The kids in the 9-11 year old group can be given permission by their parent or guardian to be able to check themselves out. If you do not give permission, they can not leave the area until you come get them.

It was the same on our recent X cruise. I did not give permission for my 9 year old to check herself out. She can't walk around our neighbourhood by herself, so i did not feel comfortable doing it on a ship. She is a trustworthy kid and knows here way around the ship faster than we do.

Not living in fear. Just facing the reality that bad things can happen, even on ships.
