Foxwoods offer

I have received cruise offers from Foxwoods in the past and they have always been with Norwegian but I have an offer this month for Celebrity Cruise Lines. This would be our first time sailing with Celebrity and I would be interested to hear from others who have received casino offers for this cruise line. Are the casinos on their ship large? Do they offer a drink card like NCL does? How are the cabins on their ships (size and updated)? During the booking process, are you able to also receive the current specials and promos like they do on NCL?

I just got that offer and booked the night at Foxwoods to claim it. We cruised once on Celebrity (not on a comp) and really enjoyed it, but since I get comp cruises from NCL we haven't returned to Celebrity.

I can't tell you anything about what we would be entitled to with this offer, but I found the size of the casino and the selection of slots to be decent. The vp pay tables were abysmal, but that's the same on all the cruiselines. I don't play tables, so I didn't pay any attention to that at all. The casino was completely non-smoking. I had the unlimited drink package, so I didn't even inquire about casino drink cards.

We were on the Silhouette and the ship was absolutely beautiful. The food & service in the main dining rooms were significantly better than NCL. We had a cabin with an extended balcony, and it was very, very nice. The ship was immaculate. As I said, we have considered going back, but between the NCL comps, and our soon to be first Princess cruise comped from Venetian/Palazzo, we haven't taken the plunge. This offer from Foxwoods was a pleasant surprise & will definitely get us back onboard Celebrity!

We got this offer also, but ours is only for an ocean view room. As we get mini suites on NCL, we are not going to take Foxwoods up on this offer.

We cruise for the ports, not the ship, so whoever gives us the bigger cabin is who we go with.

Having said that, I would be curious to see if they have the same "administration fee" that Ncl has.

Once you book, if you could come and let me know it would be appreciated!

Cruised Celebrity Summit for the first time this August to Bermuda. It was not an offer from a casino but from a travel agency in CA that does gambling junkets - have no idea why I received the offer but was glad that I took them up on it. The travel agent got us bumped up to an Aqua Class cabin so we had Blu as our dining room - food definitely much better than the NCL cruises I've been on. Service overall a notch above, too. There was no NCF charge, so it was cheaper than the NCL cruises I've done - just port fees, taxes and the daily service charge.

We received drink cards for the casino but did not receive any of the amenity offers that we normally get from NCL (when I booked this offer, Celebrity was offering free drink packages and an OBC). I loved the casino because it was smoke free - poor pay tables for VP, I don't play tables so I'm not sure what minimums were. I would definitely sail Celebrity again if I received an offer.

For years I thought NCL was the best when it came to taking care of casino players, but over the past couple of years the other lines seem to have stepped it up & it is interesting to compare the offers.

If Celebrity has no extra fees, that makes their offer even more attractive to me. We will be cruising Princess in April on an offer, and there was no fee and quite frankly, what we are getting blows away anything we ever got from NCL, even though it doesn't include the extras we have been getting on NCL such as the drink package.

I will report back after I pick up the Celebrity offer and make the call to book. Meanwhile, I am forced to go back to Vegas next week to pick up another Princess cruise. Poor me :p

I also got this offer . The offer shows as

Mid celebrity cruise . When I called they could give me zero details however so no idea If it's worth it . What it entails etc etc .

I was intrigued by "Mid" Celebrity Cruise, so I went and checked my online account. Mine is listed as "High" Celebrity Cruise. I got the postcard by mail yesterday, and it doesn't use that term but specifies an Inside cabin to Bahamas, Caribbean, Alaska, Bermuda or Europe. That doesn't sound very high does it? haha. I will be upgrading (hope that's an option!) as I am way too claustrophobic to go Inside.

I am sure you will get the mailer soon, and it should have more info. I am very curious what "Mid" refers to.

Thanks to everyone for their response. I received my postcard today and it is also for an inside cabin. I'm a little disappointed in that but hopefully we'll be able to upgrade. When we first started getting offers from Foxwoods for NCL, it was also an inside cabin but now we book directly with CAS and usually get mini suites. We're going to be at Foxwoods on 11/19th anyway for the Brian Setzer show, so our plan is to pick up the certificate and give them a call to get some pricing and compare it to NCL.

Got this offer too. Mine was listed as "High" and was for an ocean view cabin. We are regular Celebrity cruisers already and members of their Blue Chip Club. Reserved this offer anyway since it gives us another shot at a cruise for next year. I'm curious as to the restrictions with it though. If we don't want oceanview are we able to upgrade to a higher category and pay the difference? If not then we'll pass on using this. Also wondering if it's restricted to 7 night cruises only? That would be odd for them to include Europe cruises then as I went online and only saw two 7 night cruises available for Europe for 2017. Hope this doesn't turn out to be a wasted trip to Foxwoods.

Now that you are established members of the Blue Chip Club, do you call them with the date you are interested in and they let you know what you qualify for like the do at CAS or do you have to wait until they send you an offer?

Once you are a member then you call them after you have completed a cruise and they will tell you how much comp money you have earned (based on your play from that most recent cruise) to put towards any future cruise; there's no restriction there. You have to apply it though to a cruise that departs within one year of the return of the cruise you earned the comp on. If the cost of the next cruise is less than your comp money then you can use the remainder towards another cruise as long as it's within the same one year time period. If the cost of the cruise is more than your comp then you just pay the difference. (Not sure if the comp applies to taxes and port charges at all as we have yet to have a comp cover the entire cost of our cruise as we have been booking higher-end suites lately)

I believe you can also have the comp money turned into free play onboard instead of applying it to the cruise cost. (That was my understanding when we joined a few years ago although we've never used that option so not sure if it is still in effect)

They will also send you offers on occasion for discounted or comp cruises on specific departure dates. We've never been able to take advantage of those as they are usually 90 days or so out.

Blue Chip membership will get you free drinks in the casino. We have always had a beverage package though so that perk is pretty useless to us. You also get a priority boarding line on embarkation day and they'll send some treats to your cabin a few times during the cruise.

Also something to be careful with. Once you are Blue Chip if your play during a cruise is something the casino likes then the host may come up to you and offer free stuff like dinners in specialty restaurants, free bottles of wine at dinner, free spa treatments, etc. If you take any of those things it will reduce the post-cruise comp you are eligible for. We saw this happen with our 2015 and 2016 cruises. While we played almost the same amount on each cruise our post-cruise comp was over $2000 less from the 2015 cruise versus the 2016 cruise. The reason? On the 2015 cruise we took multiple comp offers from the host during the cruise including several specialty meals and a massage for two in the spa. In 2016 we took no offers from the host.

Good to know, thank you! I never would have known that the goodies that they offer would have an effect on the next cruise.

I picked up my cruise certificate tonight and I am quite pleased with the options. In the small print it does state that we will get free drinks in the casino which is a bonus. I'm looking forward to calling in next week to book something!

I didn't pick mine up since I couldn't use it anyway. I have all my cruises for 2017 already booked through CAS. I was curious about the fact that the post card said Europe was included. Was it?

It looked like different people got different lists when we were picking up the certificates. My list includes European cruises from 7-9 days on the Silhouette, Equinox or Constellation. It also includes Alaska, Caribbean, Bahamas, Bermuda, South Pacific, Pacific Coastal and Arabian Coast Immersion.

As far as dates, all my certificate says is book by February 19, 2017 and sail by November 19, 2017.

It will be interesting to see what they say when I call with choices. I was very pleasantly surprised when I booked my Princess one, and I can only hope this goes as well. I plan to call in the next couple of days, and I will report back on how it went.

Europe was included on my list but only cruises on the Constellation up to 10 days. It also said Equinox in Europe but I couldn't find any Equinox cruises in Europe for 2017 on their website.

Overall the list of dates was pretty limited. They did give an option to book any Celebrity cruise though and get a discount; amount depends on your Foxwoods rating.

Good news is that since my husband and I each got a certificate we can do back to back cruises or cruises at two different times of year. Or if we want we can combine our certificates for one cruise and get a higher category cabin. We will probably do the latter as it will put us closer to a suite category (they let you pay the difference) and mean less out of pocket money. For us to upgrade from oceanview to a suite on two cruises would cost a lot.

Bad news is that we can't use our Blue Chip monetary incentive towards this cruise and won't earn any Blue Chip incentives from our play on this cruise. You're considered a Foxwoods player on this offer regardless of Blue Chip status. I think the woman we spoke to said we would still get the free drinks perk though; wasn't 100% sure though. Captain's Club benefits would apply though and you can earn points towards your CC tier. This works for us as this cruise could probably push us over the mark into Elite Plus. Also, because you are a Foxwoods player she said you will earn points towards your Foxwoods tier status based on your play onboard.
