If you are going to cruise anyway and choose Carnival to do it on, then why complain about it??? It is what it is and maybe you should look around to other cruise lines to see if they have a "deal".

When we are ready to book, we book....it is simple really....if there is an offer out there then great, if not I still book cuz that is the plan at that time....

There are 2 offers.
1 is free 2 category upgrade Which isn't an upgrade to me at all. I like a lower deck.
Or choose your cabin. Carnival says, "check back often for changes" well...
these offers haven't changed in months.

With my 22nd Carnival cruise coming up in Sept, you'd think they would offer a little more, or at least a chance for something else.

Guess I'm just not a VIFP after all.
I have 88 Carnival cruises and have not received any special offers in years, probably since the Diamond program started. There have been a couple offers available to all Diamond members but nothing based on my loyalty. I believe a previous post is correct, if you have a cruise booked you get offered nothing, I will probably test that theory in a few months.

I do know my D+ perks on RCCL are vastly superior to Carnival's Diamond bonuses.

I usually book through a cruise travel agent... have used one I found through Cruise Critic and had great experience. This next cruise I booked directly with Carnival because the price was right and so was the itinerary and cabin.

My advice is to shop around and don't think you have to book through Carnival to get the best deal... but if the deal looks good to you, go for it.
