fort frederick beach st croix

Has anyone been to this beach by the pier lately? We normally go to Sandcastle but thought we might go to this one since we can walk. Here are my questions:

1. Do they rent loungers or just lawn chairs and how much?

2. How much for umbrellas?

3. Are there bathrooms

4 Are there any vendors for food/drink

5. Is the beach nice? Looks like it from pictures but cannot tell if the water is really rocky or if it is sandy.

Was there this March and can only answer no 4 and 5.

4. There is at least one or even two bars at the beach

5. It very nice and sandy, but in the water there are some rocks, so be careful

It's only 10 min by foot to your ship, so no worries about bathrooms or changing rooms. That's the beach and our ship:

This was taken Jan 2013

The day we were there it was a big murky from weather, but otherwise a great beach. We used the ship to change and eat, I believe there are bathrooms though. We didn't rent anything, but I think there were chairs etc.
