Transportation around New Orleans

We have a group of ten people who are coming into New Orleans two days before our cruise in March. What is the cheapest way to get from the airport to our downtown Comfort Inn? And, how should we get from the port to back to the airport after the cruise? Is there a group shuttle that wwe could reserve?;)

you may even want to check into a limo - with that many people it may be just as cheap to travel in style. Shuttle is $15/pp each way; taxi is $30 for the first 2 passengers and $12 for each additional passenger; limos run about $125-150 for a transfer (from airport to hotel) - and they do negotiate prices. A taxi is faster - you don't have to wait for a shuttle to fill or drop off people and they are about the same price, for two.

On the other hand, you may end up with a little mini-tour of the area and hotels and perhaps see something you want to check out later.
