Deck 6 balcony rooms on Magic or Breeze.... how is it?

We are booked in a Deck 6 cabin on the Breeze, realized afterwards that it was the balcony right above the open breezeway deck. I did check to make sure we were not above one of the spas and thankfully there was a change in the plan from the Magic to the Breeze so we are not.

Anyhow, just wondering what it is like? Should I try to upgrade a few classes/decks or something?

As long as you are not over one of the hot tubs that jut out and lose your privacy, you should be ok. I was pretty far forward on deck 6 in a Magic balcony and no loss of privacy, you just dont want to be mid ship, over a hot tub. (is that what you referred to as spa?)

Yes, I meant hot tub, spa was only word that came to mind.

Any balcony is a great thing but deck 6 is very close to the action just below your balcony on deck 5. People can actually look up onto your balcony. If you can afford to upgrade I would move to deck 7 or 8

We are forward somewhere above the shops, so I figure it shouldn't be too noisy as they will be closed during the night. Although now I am considering the noise from the open walkway right below us and lack of privacy... somewhat. I was doing a mock booking on a deck 8 room and it really was no difference in price. I have never changed a booking before, so I guess I can call Carnival and have them take care of it. Hope no fees are associated with 'upgrading.'

Glad you posted this cause I was getting ready to book a room on deck 6 on the magic. I took a second look at the deck plans Thanks

:D GL with your booking!

Noooooooooo!!! i booked a balcony on deck 6 for the breeze as well, cus i can get a bit seasick and was thinking mid ship i'll be fine. Also just checked yesterday and my room has a joining door to the next room. I sail out on saturday so its a bit on the late side to be worrying about it i suppose.

I will never get a deck 6 cabin on the Magic again - you can hear ever thing in the casino. To top it off - One player - who would play blackjack from 12 to 2am - would yell BAM! at the top of his lungs when ever he would draw a card. Lucky we were so worn out at night - it did not bother us very much. But we noticed it.

Pshew....I rely on you for good info!!....I am booked on Deck 6 above the Main Show Lounge on the Breeze. I am thinking that this will work out OK for me since we are not near the the hottubs below and my DD and I are Late Seating/Night People.

I would MUCH prefer a higher deck but right now nothing is available for the date we are sailing  I am going to keep checking and will upgrade if I see something come up if I need to but I appreciate your thoughts!
