Is this my best and cheapest option?

I'll be staying at the Doubletree near the airport and need to get to the port the following day. It looks like I can take a free shuttle to the hotel from the airport. The following day I should take the shuttle back to the airport and then do the shuttle to the port that is $24?

Just curious why you would choose to stay out by the airport. If I was flying into and cruising out of New Orleans, I would try to stay in the city. Not a whole lot to see and do in Kenner compared to French Quarter or even the warehouse District or CBD.

The OP asked for the cheapest option; cheapest and the French Quarter (or even warehouse district) don't exactly go together.

OP asked for cheapest option for transportation from the Doubletree airport to the port. If they were looking for the absolute cheapest option I can guarantee there are cheaper hotels by the airport. I'd imagine they could also find a comparably priced room in the city.

As I said, I would personally rather spend a little more to be in the city than to spend a night in Kenner with little to do. YMMV.
