Hi I have just read your review, very enjoyable and well written, you sound like you had a fantastic time. I like the bit about the coffee, being from Australia I always try to cruise on the American ships that come down here for the season, but your coffee!! I think Aussie's are the true coffee snobs of the world !! So now you have an addiction, hee hee welcome to the club, not a bad club to be in though.

Just book the cruise! You will get over the fear, meet lots of people and have the time of your life. I'm booked for my 2nd cruise, single and going solo. I am excited and looking forward to it. If you did not have to pay for double occupancy, I would cruise more often.

Hi Georgia Girl! Oh I booked it, had the best vacation of my life and then booked another!! Too bad I have to wait a while. However, the summer deals for Alaska are coming out....Hmmmm

I didn't check the single supplement % but there was a noticeable difference with Holland America for cruising solo. HAL may not be your style but it's perfect for me. Love the smaller ships, the elbow room, stateroom size, service and luxury factor. Their itineraries are great too.
