Default Maryland cruise addicts?

I see there's a thread where lots of people from the great state of Virginia who all love cruising post among themselves, share lots of info and even get together on occasion on land (does RCCL know?). Though certainly open to MD cruisers, I only found 1 other Maryland who posted on all of there 30 plus pages.

Are there a lot of Maryland cruisers here who might wanna have a thread of their own?

Yeah, it would be nice to have a Maryland thread, and maybe us Mary-cruisers could do something similar to our neighbors in VA.

I would love to have a Maryland thread. I live in Salisbury on the Eastern Shore. I am retired and spend most of my free time volunteering at the Salisbury Zoo. I have cruised 20 times and am working on where the next one will be and when.

Default Maryland thread

Now, wouldn't a MD thread be nice! I live in Gaithersburg and am leaving on the Mariner Aug. 15 to celebrate my 50th birthday w/ a girlfriend from Wisconsin (we actually met here 15 yrs ago) who just turned 50 as well! This will be my 6th cruise/3rd w/ RCCL. (I am hooked on the voyager-class ships!) Judy

Hello Marylanders: I looked at the VA board and only one or two posters were on this side of Virginia. I'm in Hyattsville right at the DC/Takoma border. I think a Maryland thread is a great idea. This will only be my first cruise with RC and I am looking forward to having a wonderful time. Bon Voyage, Atonal!

Also from MD, Baltimore county and part time (not as often as I like) in OC. Born and raised in Western MD Allegany County. Love cruising love RCCL.

Did anyone see the SUN newspaper today about Carnival bumping passengers from the Baltimore sailing in Sept. I fell just awful for those poor people. I had no idea they overbooked in case of cancelations like the airlines do.

Default I'm from Owings Mills (NW Baltimore County)

Count me in too!

I saw the Sun article too. I'd read about the bumpings over the past several months on the Carnival board. Seems they're bumping the local passengers first. I guess that kind of makes sense because then there would be no airfare involved. Must be infuriating to have it happen though! I remember getting solicitations from Carnival when they first announced that the Miracle was going to be sailing out of Baltimore. Glad I didn't book it!!

Hi everyone. I'm from Southern Maryland, Piney Point. September 4th I'll be sailing for my fourth time with Royal Caribbean. I cruised out of Baltimore in June on the Grandeur and it sure was easy and stress free. It's nice to have our own thread for Marylanders.

Hi

Merry MD Cruisers!

I was wondering where all the Marylander cruisers are. I kept checking the VA cruiser thread for some of us "Northerners" but alas I was the only one. The VA group is certainly a friendly one and did welcome me. I am sure glad someone decided to start one. I absolutely am crazy about cruising. We were on the Radiance in January and then on the Voyager in June. Next year, we are booked on the Brilliance in January, the Grandeur in June and then the Radiance in October. Got lucky and got a balcon cabin that is all the way at the rear of the ship for the Grandeur cruise. I hear those cabins are really great.

So who knows maybe we will get enough of us to get ourselves a group cruise from MD.

Later,

Annieeee

Cool Sounds good to me...

A MD thread would be cool. I was born in Bethesda- we live in Laurel now. We usually cruise out of Miami. We are going to be on the Naviagtor again (took her last year too) on 8/14.

We should all get together!!!

Pam

Fiance and I live in Bethesda/Rockville, taking a 12 day Med cruise in October for our honeymoon. Will be my third cruise, fiance's 6th.

I never checked out the VA thread, I know around the DC area, VA and MD are rivals!

Hi! We live in North Potomac (also known as Gaithersburg ). We will be cruising on the Serenade to Alaska on 8/22. This will be our first RCCL cruise. We have cruised Celebrity in the past, but wanted to give RCCL a try. We are really looking forward to this cruise.

Default To Cindyonthe beach

Cindy,
I went to the Lundberg school in Piney point many years ago and actually married a local girl from Valley Lee. We are in Virginia now near Dulles airport We get down that way pretty frequently and actually are going to a class reunion down there in a couple weeks. Small world. Hope all you Marylanders have a great response to your thread, I know the Virginia one has gone on since before our last cruise in March and I think is in the thousands even with the board change.
Take care and happy crusing to all
Randy
