Cruise is all paid for now just the waiting game.

Anyone got any advice for specific things to take/do on a cruise to NZ or any opinions on Shore tours?

The cruise is cruising through Fiordland National Park then we have stops at Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Napier, Tauranga and Bay of Islands.

Looks like the best way to tackle Auckland, Wellington and dunedin is to just get off and see the place for ourselves (me and my wife going on the cruise). The other stops im not so sure about what to do so any advice would be great.

Thanks.

Also from Tauranga I'd suggest a tour to Rotorua to see the geothermal regions.

You can spend a whole day just wandering around Napier looking at the Art Deco architecture. The whole town was rebuilt after the 1932 earthquake. However if you are fond of good wines you might like to take a tour so some of the Hawkes Bay wineries.
