Carnival Corporation BIG Announcement today

Reviving a dead (well, deleted... twice) horse as the Carnival Board is apparently allowed to have it which makes no sense if the thread has been deleted twice with no reason. I also emailed the hosts asking if they could advise what the problem was to no reply...

This is from carnival corp. not cruise. You know the one that owes hal:rolleyes:.

Interesting posts on that thread. I was thinking maybe they would start giving cruises away for people that have a certain $ charged to their onboard account. Sounds like something totally different.

It does... wondering about the accuracy of that one post.

HAL already had something similar and some of the upper premium brands have done similar before. So it may be new on the SCOPE of things but not in the concept...

Here's what HAL has offered for a few years now:

the comment that was Carnival Cruise Line specific of "maybe now they'll tape a packet of flavoring to our free bottle of water" made me LOL

Yeah, Carnival CRUISE LINE has a habit lately of making announcements like "On Thursday we'll release more scheduling"... then there's a week or two of silence and nothing happens. Sure, they can reserve the right to change things, delay, etc but they get people all worked up and then go silent and it's happened several times... I get the little snippy remarks but still... ouch

I think they will be disappointed when it isn't all about Carnival Cruise Line.

If it were - don't think it would have gotten this big of a build-up.

I would guess we will see the whole release here on CC - as the editors must have gotten the information already.

Page 2 on the Carnival forum thread has a CC staff member commenting that it is indeed huge and stay tuned

Huge, yes, but I think they will still be disappointed.

Just looking at their comments, I can tell their expectations will not be met.

Most are not looking at the big picture, and it is a big picture announcement.

Not an individual cruise line announcement, in that it is not specific to Carnival, HAL, Princess, etc.

Some will view this as a major announcement, but others will say it won't affect them, so they don't really care.
