Ocho Rios - Carnival Beach Excursions - Bamboo Beach Club or Pearly Beach?

Can anyone recommend a beach excursion through Carnival? It appears the choices are Bamboo Beach Club or Pearly Beach. Any info you can give on which is better and why I would greatly appreciate.

I only went to Bamboo so can not speak to Pearly. If you look at Bamboo reviews on this board you will see lately they are not very good. I have probably been on 20 cruises and Bamboo was my least favorite tour. The beach is very narrow and the day we were there they had a lot of seaweed. I realize weather was probably a factor with the seaweed. The service for food and drinks was very slow. If you go to the bar to get a drink yourself they made us and others pay for them. Not sure if that is a common practice but it was our experience. I would not recommend Bamboo Beach Club.
