I have a suite. My family will be in 2 other oceanview rooms (Same last name) Will they let them check-in at the suite desk same time as me?
Port is new orleans. Last time I went on a cruise I didnt see many people in the suite line at all. |

They most likely won't be able to check in with you. Your keys will be with the concierge and theirs will be in the main check in area. Best bet is to meet up with them at a pre-planned spot.

Suite checkin is one person in the main check-in area on the end. Thats why i was wondering. But alright.

It's not. You do part of the check in there, then you go into the suite check in lounge where you get treats, juice, coffee and then your keys. At least that's been the way for all 4 suites I've been on for NCL.

Hopefully you have read a few other active threads about suites and perks for non paying guests.
You will get to eat at Cagneys for breakfast and lunch. They will not. Just be ready for that.

I knew the Cagneys part .. but I also know you can have them bring breakfast from Cagney to the room and eat there with the non suite people..
My first cruise my uncle was in the group.. it was booked with cas and we got to skip the whole check in line that's why I was asking about the suite check in because we were in an oceanview Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk |

There have been several threads on this subject in the past few weeks. Some suite passengers have reported non-suite guests being allowed to do priority check in with them, and even priority tender on port days; others have reported not. Some have mentioned there is a way to "link" separate reservations through a TA or NCL (not necessary if the rooms were purchased together). This may increase the odds of non-suite passengers being allowed to piggy back on.
Once you're on board, the reports are similarly conflicting. Some suite passengers say non-suite guests have been allowed to join them for suite-only breakfasts/lunches/cocktail parties/etc., others say no. I'm interested in this because we'll be in a suite for our first NCL cruise in a few months, but most others in our group probably won't be. Hopefully a couple of them can piggy back on once or twice. Like most things in life, it's probably not a problem as long as you don't abuse it. They may or may not allow your non-suite guests to check in with you on the Suite line, but they might make an exception if everyone is using the same credit card for their on board account. Once you've done the financial arrangements, then you'll probably have to separate. Suite guests go to the concierge lounge, where you meet the concierge, get your suite key cards, and are escorted onto the ship, usually straight to Cagney's for the suite-only lunch. Your non-suite family members would normally have to wait in the regular boarding lines, and would not be allowed into Cagney's. As has been mentioned, there seems to a lot of latitude in what can and cannot be done, both on the dock and on board the ship. Your best bet would be to plan a meeting location after everyone is on board as a fall back, and then talk to one of the NCL reps when you first come up the escalator and into the large check in area at the dock. Explain your situation, ask them what they can do, and hopefully they will work with you as much as they can within the rules.

Out of respect to the other guests who are in suites, I wouldn't bring my non-suite family members/friends with me to the suite check in. That's one of the perks of getting a suite, is the suite check in, along with the goodies and pampering that starts your vacation right there.
Now, having said that, in the times we've gone through the non-suite check in area, it has been a fine experience too. Just not as fine as the suite check in. ![]() In the Seattle terminal, the room where the suite check in is done and all the goodies are, it can get a little crowded. I just wouldn't bring non-suite guests in there. That's my opinion.

I should have said last time around nobody went in the suite line. They were actually checking in regular people to help with the line. I know I said I didn't see a line for suites but yea, my screw up there.
