Cool vid. Its weird that you block your face, but the kids are showing.

Thanks! It is a TONE of FUN! If you get a chance to go on a Carnival Cruise with your kids... GO! The 24 hour pizza, sun, relaxation, fresh air, kids activities.... can't be beat.

Thanks for the video. Im looking to take my boys when they are 2 and 1 1/2. We typically sail carnival, so Ive been looking for other parents who have taken their younger kids to figure out how to make it work!

It is a blast! We went as young as 8 months old and 2 years old and we have already done multiple cruises as a family. Like in everyday life the dynamic just changes. We find that we enjoy the energy by the pool and other activities more and less activity at night. Instead of dancing in a bar we dance by the pool. We sneak in our adultish activities like the odd cocktail while we spending time as a family. Super fun!

Awesome video! I love cruising with my kids as well! We sail again for Spring Break in March and I may have to try making a cool video like this. Great memories :) By the way, I LOVE the dancing by the pool with your girls! So sweet!

YES!! So glad you enjoyed it!

We LOVE that we locked in our memories like this. We have an older cruise (as a family) that we need to edit it up too. Do it. Make a video.

We made another one that is just about our dancing. I wish we included other footage from out other cruise when our kids were younger. No matter how loud it was we would dance them both to sleep! Here is the other one:

We hope you like this one too! Let us know if you make a video and if you enjoy this one.

May I ask if you youngest daughter is potty trained? We are cruising with my daughter who will be 15 months at the time and my niece who will be 8. I want my daughter to be able to experience the water stuff on board which it looks like your daughter did. Was she potty trained or wearing a swim diaper?

Swim Diaper. No she was not potty trained but she also does not have a lot of accidents. However, I do think it will depend on the ship and the crew at that time. You may or may not be asked to leave the pool. Another tip is to bring along a small blow up pool to play with it beside the pool. We did that for when they were both 7 months old, on their first cruise and it worked great! If I get a chance I can look for a picture to upload and post it on the board. Are you on Carnival?

The CDC doesn't allow any diapered children in any pools on US ships. They are not equipped to handle fecal matter. Only DCL and some RCCL ships have splash areas (no submersion) for diapered children, with different filtration systems.

THANK YOU so much for posting this! We're cruising later this year with our youngest 2 kids, who will be 12 months and 22 months at time of cruising and its encouraging to see little ones having so much fun, our other cruises have always been without our kids.

I found an old picture. We have used this duck pool for two cruises when each of the kids were little. This came in handy for us.......

I tried to post this with an image in it. Can we not post images directly into a post? It shows in the editor but I get an error when I try to submit it.

Cute video and the kids really look like they had a blast we have been cruising with our kids too since they were only a few months old and have learned so much with each cruise my kids are now 8 and 5 and our next cruise will be their 7th and 6th cruises. When they were younger it was a bit more challenging but you need to just think outside of the box. We sail exclusively with Royal Caribbean and when they were very young they had a toy lending program which was great and as soon as the kids were bored with the toys we got you could go back and exchange for a new bag of toys. We would go to venues that were not in use and let the kids roam around where we knew it was safe. The pool situation was hard as they are not allowed in the water with any sort of diaper on. We were very skeptical about the kids clubs but we were given a tour and told there are more cameras in the kids club then there are in the casinos which made us feel a lot better and we also just randomly pop up from time to time and our kids usually start yelling no we don't want to go.

As far as traveling on the islands not having car seats is still hard for me to deal with but my husband has one kid by him and I have one by me always. I will tell you there have been instances where I have been more scared taking the kids on the little ferry or taxi boats then anything. One thing I can't stress enough is using sun block reapplying it all the time and keeping them covered as much as possible I have seen so many kids (adults too) fried and that is one sure way to ruin your vacation.

We love cruising as a family it gives it a lot of family time together but also some much needed adult time too while the kids have their own fun.

Wow, thanks for the detailed and thoughtful reply. You have not tried Carnival with kids? I can not speak for the other cruise lines but we have some thoughts on Carnival. They have some really kids kids programs from young to older kids too. They also have free, 24 hour ice cream and pizza! This is a HUGE bonus for us. The ships themselves are also quite high energy which allows the option to participate in or avoid the activity. Since we have early nights with out young kids, we find ourselves taking part of the rowdier part of the day. Before we had kids it was the opposite. Anyway, just a few thoughts.

We have not ever tried Carnival mostly because I have heard that it can be rather rowdy and that is not for me at all. If there is a party or activity etc that is fine but I don''t want that around me all the time. I like to sit back and relax because after all I am on vacation and when the kids go to the kids club I just want to relax with my husband. When we are at home we rarely get to do anything alone so we do take advantage of it.

I do love the idea of pizza and ice cream all the time : I make our family take the steps every time and not the elevator that is our way of working off all the snacks we eat lol.

Do you know if Carnival ever does Kids Sail Free ... I have gotten some really amazing rates on Royal Caribbean with this promotion.

We have not seen very many, if any "kids sail free" Carnival Promo's. We are certainly deal shoppers though. Carnival can be very active but like all ships not in all places all of the time. The main pool during the day is quite active but the back pool isn't. It is easy to avoid the activity or join in when in the mood. At least that is what we find. We do a bit of both so we like the option to be around some high energy. However, our favorite days are always when everyone gets off the boat at a port and we have the ship to ourselves.

Agreed! One thing we love about cruising is the way it can be quite economical. The better the deal one can find, the more fun the entire trip feels. Royal Caribbean does seem to have some good prices but we have yet to try it.
