Snorkeling at Amadee Island - Noumea (New Caledonia)

Hi all,

First time cruisers here, avid snorkelers!

DH and I love snorkeling, we've been to Maldives, Tahiti (Moorea) and Hawaii already, so can safely say we've seen some amazing stuff already!

I'm looking at the shore excursions offered on our cruise next year on Celebrity Solstice, and it's looking at a few hundred $$ per person for a day at Amadee.

For someone who's already been to Maldives & Tahiti, is it worth going to Amadee for us? Or would it disappoint?

I have heard amazing food being offered on the island, but it's very expensive if we could just hop back on our cruise ship for already-paid-for lunch instead.

We would otherwise just wonder around Noumea instead.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks heaps!
