Shopping for Larimar in La romana

We will be going to the Dominican Republic in the Carnival Breeze over Thanksgiving week. I would like to shop for Larimar but am unsure about where. I would love to do the Seavis trip to the island, but not sure if there will be time to shop. Too many decisions! LOL! Any help on shopping would be great.

We were on the Breeze in January. Stopped at LaRomana and we took the Seavis speedboat ride to Saona Island which I would do again in a heartbeat. The speedboat ride was a blast. The meal on the island was not great. On the way back the boat stops and you can get out and hold starfish and they pass around rum cake and a drink. While on the island a woman selling Larimar jewelry came over to us on the beach. I bought two pair of earrings for not more than $15-$25 each. Take a chance. You might be able to do both. At our next port --Aruba--they were selling Larimar in the jewelry stores for a lot more and I was so glad I bought those earrings on the beach.
