Favourite item on Navigator - what should we not miss?

Evening all.

very excited about our cruise on RCI Navigator of seas.

My husband doesnt drink so he's a foodie - like me (except i like a tipple now n again too !)

So were bringing our daughter on our cruise from Rome in Oct. We might not always make the MDR, so if you could pick one "do-not-miss" item from the MDR menu, what would it be?

Myself and DH do not like shellfish so dont say the lobster. haha!

My husband is a big choc-a-holic too so any recommendations on where to get a good chocie treat would be great too!

Oh another question! My daughter loves her grub..I try and avoid the usual kids meal of nuggets n chips etc. Are the kids meals on navigator up to scratch?

I am so excited for you! We haven't been on the Navigator but were on the Voyager (sister ship) and it was beautiful - an amazing cruise. Here are my recommendations:

Garlic soup - if you like garlic it's delicious

Scallop risotto - even if you don't like scallops it's worth it

Choco chino trilogy - for the chocoholic!

Chocolate raspberry ganache tart (I think this one is on the lunch menu)

Steak sandwich (also lunch menu, but it's an entire steak on a sandwich)

Escargots

Tiramisu - at the Cafe Promenade which has lots of other chocolate treats too

We have pictures from the Voyager on our gallery:

Have fun!

Children may order from the adult menu....and vice versa! YOU may order from the kid's, if there is a treat you'd like!

Hubby may order whatever he likes....try a bit of everything, if that's what will make him happy!

My Grandson has been cruising since age 3 and found items he wanted on the adult menu. They always brought the food for him to sample. We were just on the Navigator out of Civitevecchia last June. It's my understanding that the escargot and shrimp cocktail are now available each night on the Alternate menu. I love the chilled soups. The breads are wonderful and they serve a variety each night. The duck is very good also. I'm sure she will find some great new dishes to try.
