B2B on 2 ships between PM and PE

We are considering a B2B between 2 ships (Escape and Allure specifically) - disembark from Port Miami, then take transportation to Port Everglades to continue with the 2nd leg, all to be done on the same day in the morning. Has anyone done this? Any tips or things we should know?

should be very easy, we have done Port Canaveral to Port Everglades same day. some folks call that a S2S (side to side)

Taxi from port to port will be about $75+tip on the meter - the ride takes about 45 minutes. You can save a few $$ by taking a shuttle to FLL ($15 per person) and then a taxi to PE (About $15 per cab).

Your side-to-side sounds like fun, but just so you know it is really considered two separate cruises. There is nothing to really know as it's not the same ship or even the same port. I agree with John in that a shuttle bus service is more cost-effective. Shuttles are discussed often here on this board, usually daily, even.
