Weather in October from New Orleans

We will be going on our first cruise ( Western Carribbean ) from New Orleans leaving October 6. I was wondering what the weather and temp might be during our cruise during the day and night.

A girl has to know what to wear. Thanks

Your high temps will probably be in the high 70s-low 80s. It will cool down 15-20 degrees at night. In the Caribbean, be prepared for rain. That'll be the case whatever time of year you go. Most Caribbean rainstorms are short-lived [less than an hour].

We did the same route but out of Tampa in Oct. a couple of years ago. The weather was great. We got a sprinkle in Costa Maya but it was warm. It felt great. As a previous poster said it is still Hurricane Season but the chance of a hurricane happening that late is slim. I love cruising in Oct.
