MIAMI hotel day passes?

returning from our cruise on Friday February 1st. Our flights are at 7 pm. Any suggestions for hotel day passes or what to do in Miami for most of the day?

You can check http://www.between9and5.com/ - but availablity in Feburary (peak of the tourist season) will be very limited.

There is a hotel inside the MIA airport - cleverly called the Miami Airport Hotel - that has day rates, but no pool.

Your best bet may be to rent a car for the day, put your luggage in the trunk, and then go where you want - South Beach, Hollywood Boardwalk, lunch, shopping, beach, whatever. National, Alamo and Thrifty share a free shuttle from POM to their MIA airport location.

Your other option is to cab to MIA, pay to store your luggage there (you cannot check bags until 4 hours prior to your flight), and then catch the airport flyer bus to South Beach for only $2.35 each way.

I once had a long layover . Went to rpicline and bid on hotel with free shuttle. Stayed all day at hotel and went to ariport later that day. Cheaper then a day pass.

Except you may not be able to check-in until 3:00 or 4:00 PM if the hotel is full, which many will be during peak tourist season.
